Incorrect Resource (GPIB2) apears after connecting an instrument to a single board (GPIB0)

Using the CEC-USB488 'board' I see a second resource appearing when refreshing the visa control after turning the instrument on (see attachment). 

When starting the system with the board connected but the instrument off, I see the GPIB0::INTFC resources.  After turning on the instrument and refreshing the interactive control, the instrument appears (GPIB0::24::INSTR) as it should.  But a second resources appears GPIB2::24::INSTR as though a second board (GPIB2) is connecter. 

Trying to IDN this resource returns error: BFFF003B. 

IDN on board 0 work fine.

This seems to  be a new behavious for NI-VISA 3.4 not seen in 3.1.

Please let me knwow if there is a work around?

Hi David,

Even though the CEC USB488 can be used with our NI-VISA driver, this is a product made and supported by Measurement Computing.  They would be aware of any issues with our NI-VISA driver, and would be in a better position to provide support for you.
