Instrum. Driver for HP8753E Net. Analyser

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows of either a LabView GPIB driver for an
HP 8753E Network Analyser, or whether the HP8753D driver on the NI
web page is sufficient. I am a new user of network analysers, but my
understanding is that the HP8753E model, which we have, is a similar
but slightly better model than the HP8753D model.

There may be some slight differences, but unless you are using some
really advanced functions, then the "D" should work fine for the "E"
version.

If nothing else it will give you a good base to start from.

hello,

I have the same problem with Eric May, the question sender. I'm not pleased with the answer. I still don't know what the "advanced functions" are. How am i supposed to explain the differences to people that are working with me in the project? My task is to remote control both 8573D and 8573E and i need to know which functions work with these two and which don't. Also, what alterations do i have to make to the driver to make it compatible with both?
