InstrumentStudio & driver error for nidcpower/niswitch

Hello,

Until recently, I have been able to use my NI 1075 chassis and all cards in it with no issue. Now, I am unable to open the soft front panel of the NI-PXIe4110 power supply through InstrumentStudio. I am also unable to operate any of the cards through Python, such as the NI-PXIe2535 switchmatrix (using niswitch).

I have performed the following troubleshooting:
1. Confirm that 4110 and 2535 exist in NIMAX
2. Confirm that I can operate both through legacy soft front panels (no fuse blown on 4110)
3. Reinstall all drivers for the following: nidaqmx, nidcpower, niswitch, IVI compliance manager
4. Reinstall all nimi python API packages
5. Rebooted multiple times (both PC and chassis)

Any help on resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Dorino

Dorino,

Were there any changes (hardware or software) which occurred prior to these failures?

It would be helpful to know specifically what driver versions you had before and after and the specific error codes you are seeing, with minimal reproducing steps.

Some additional troubleshooting steps:

  1. Reset your MAX Configuration
  2. Physically reinsert all hardware and MXI cabling. This could be the result of a loose cable.
  3. Uninstall all NI Software and reinstall latest.

Additional questions:

  1. What are the specific errors you are seeing?
  2. Please have NI IO Trace open when you hit the hang and attach the log.
  3. Are you able to Self Test or Reset in MAX?
  4. Are other instruments in the system showing problems?
  5. Post your MAX report.
  6. What OS version are you using? Do you have the latest updates (including firmware/BIOS)?
  7. What version of nimi-python are you using?
