hi,

 we planned to use measurment studio genrated wrapper for IVI-C drivers in .net!!!!!

 Is measurment studio genrated wrapper supports Interchangability?

 wheather we need to create new wrapper each time when we change instruments????

 if so i think it will voilate IVI-Compliance!!!!

Hi bharathi,

Are you planning on using the IVI Class drivers or the IVI Specific drivers?  If you use a .NET wrapper on an IVI Class driver, then you should be able to use it interchangeably with other instruments of the same class, but you will still have the setup process in MAX for all IVI drivers.  If you use the IVI Specific drivers, then you will have to create the .NET wrapper again for each instrument.

Is this what you are asking about?  If not, please clarify what type of driver you are wanting to use and how it would violate IVI compliance.

      I just ran the .Net wrapper tool on the DMM class driver without any errors.  I will leave the testing with specific driver interchangeability up to you.  The IVI Foundation is currently working on the specification for IVI.NET, so keep in mind that the application that you build will probably not be compatible with the IVI.NET specification.  Let us know how it goes.
