Is there any computer hardware or accessory available that allows an old ISA instrument card to be used in a newer PCI computer

I was interested in knowing if there was a way to add an ISA card into a newer PCI computer using an accessory or converter?

I have an old ISA instrument card that is designed to drive a digital cyberoptics laser rangefinder.  It is an ISA card and there are no PCI upgrades for it.  I am interested in putting it into a newer computer.  Currently, the computer is becoming outdated, since it is a first generation Pentium III and can only run Labview 7.1.  Labview 8.2 requires more memory and computing power.

There are, though their reliability is anyone's guess.

Here's one.

One solution that I saw in those results is to get an older laptop docking station that has ISA slots and connect that to the PC. Not sure where you'd find these.

I would think, though, that getting an older motherboard that has both PCI and ISA slots would be a more reliable solution.

If you build your own computer it is possible to find new motherboards that still have ISA slots.  These typically target industrial customers, so you can expect to pay more for them, and they will be more difficult to find. Most of them I have seen only provide a single ISA slot, so if you need more you will have a much harder time finding one.

Thank you for the feedback.  I will take a look to see if an adaptor is available.  I will also search the motherboards for any that carry the ISA slot.
