does it work when connected directly, so without the expander?

Is the keithley set to GPIB or serial?

Does the Keithley 2400 need to be isolated?  Are the computer/GPIB controller and the Keithley on separate ground planes?  Also, I believe that only one side of the GPIB-120A is isolated.

I am trying to do something like this as well and am having trouble. I have installed the 488B driver before the hardware, like the instruction manual suggested. I also Have tried the driver with NI capability and with Keithley compatibility. I am using the Keithley GPIB so it is currently on the keithley compatibility install. The configuration utility picks it up but when i try and use a labview application ( the example ones such as Keithley 24XX Read Single.vi ect ... ) I get error messages. Mostly about VISA... my colleague says that yesterday it worked with an NI GPIB...

I am running Windows 7

Labview 2015

I checked for updated drivers this morning.

I am totally new to any of these tools, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Emily
