Labview -AWG2041

Good Day Everyone;

                                i am new to Labview and recently i have just started experimenting with Labview but i have met up with some problems, i was wondering if anyone here could provide me with their technicak expertise advice. I am basically trying to control the signals sent out by Tektronixs Arbitary Waveform Generator AWG2041. I am controlling the signals via GPIB cable, PCI-GPIB. However it seems that after installing Tektronix's AWG2041 Driver and installing NI-VISA, i am still experiencing some problems, i have this error upon compiling.  I have used the MAX tool to scan for the insturment and it has successfully found and communicate with the insturment when i use the communicate tool.

Error -1073807195 occurred at Old VISA Open in TKAWG2041 Initialize.vi->awgrun.vi

Possible reason(s):

VISA:  (Hex 0xBFFF00A5) The interface type is valid, but the specified interface number is not configured.

Prior to that i had another error 1073807343 which it was due to the error of not installing the NI-VISA. May anyone help me out here. Thank you very much.

Replace the 'Old VISA Open' with the VISA Open that is on the palette. You will need to delete the string control used for the VISA Resource Name. Some of the old drivers had the actual VISA Resource control invisible on the front panel so if yours is, on the block diagram, right click on it and select 'Show Control'.

    thanks for the advice. I am able to initalize the AWG2041 upon amendment to the Visa open. However, i still encounter the same error code when running my program itself. It shows the same error code. Would you be able to provide me with your advice again. I have attached my progam along here including a screen shot of the front panel. Thank you.

at what base address did you initialize your gpib card.

Default it has bus address 0 and that is OK

And your program still has the old visa open so to see by the string.

Maybe you should add ::instr to this string

You should attach the modified intialize. There is absolutely no reason for that Format Into String.
