Labview Version 8 hangs

Hello everyone,

i used to play with labview version 8.2 until recently i moved on to version 8 (due to the expired evaluation period). Ever since i installed Labview version 8, it took some time to load (ard 2 mins) and most of the time, when i start clicking on the buttons and start off with unfinished vi, the program will just stop responding.

my mouse is still able to function as in move around but when i tried to click any other icons at my desktop, it doesn't respond and since i couldn't do anything, i had to force press power button at my computer to restart everything.

The whole process is just less than 10 mins, i tried to reinstall the program but ended up in the same predicament.

Any idea what i should do?

Thank you

1) Please take a look at the following link as it may solve the slow start up issue.

LabVIEW 8.0 Takes Several Minutes to Start:

2) Please be sure that LabVIEW has time to completely load before you begin to program.

3) You mentioned that you tried re-installing LabVIEW 8.0 and continued to have the same problem.  Please uninstall LabVIEW 8.2 completely and repair LabVIEW 8.0.

4) Is there a particular function that you are using when LabVIEW hangs?  Could it be related to a particular driver?  If so, you may want to download the latest driver version.

5) Are you using any NI hardware?

6) Do you have the same problem if you install LabVIEW 8.0 on another computer?

Please post back if the above suggestions do not solve the issue.  Have a great day!
