MAX will automatically shut down when using the function of " Scan the instrument" under GPIB part of Device and interfaces in MAX

    I'm stuck with a problem of MAX(version, 3.1.1.3004). The RF Generator(Panasonic 8131A, GPIB port)  is not getting detected through MAX . And if the "SCAN FOR  INSTRUMENTS" under GPIB in the MAX then MAX is shutting down.If the RF Generator is connected to the various other testers still the detetection is not happenning.

    We would like any of you to help us out in solving this problem. If atleast the hardware is detected through MAX then the IVI driver can be tested as i'm providing the logical name through MAX.

I believe a problem like this existed in the NI-488.2 v2.1, 2.2, or 2.3 driver.  I know that using the latest driver (2.4) will fix the problem I'm thinking of, and so hopefully that's your issue as well.

A thousand thanks to you, Scott, yes, that's the problem.

Here but I have one complaint to you: we are using the NI PXIs and working on several projects, sometimes, we can not implement latest NI software because of the risk of updating. However, if there's any "big bug fixuture", we will be very glad to update. So my suggestion is: please let us know fixed bugs explanations when there's an updated version.

Again thanks to excellent NI sevice, also the best sevice in the world I think.
