Hello,
I often get an error message MAXStoppedServiceError after starting MAX. I have tried to restart the service NI Configuration Manager, but after restarting this service it stops. The only solution that works is to restart the computer, but mostly I have to restart the computer several times before NI Configuration Manager runs. I have installed all the critical updates, but it did not help.
The same problem I described in http://forums.ni.com/t5/Instrument-Control-GPIB-Serial/Unexpected-Error-in-NI-MAX/m-p/2495118 , but now I don´t get any error message about GPIB.
I use Windows 7 and LabView 2013.
Do you have any ideas?

Dear Petrm,
the problem you've described can occur for a few reasons, mst of which can be fixed by Cleaning MAX data and/or Repairing our insallaion. Some firewalls can also stop the servce connection from running properly.
Please consult this KB for troubleshooting steps. If te issue persists, let me know.

Hello,
we have NOD32 antivirus version 4.2.76.1, but according to http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/websearch/6716ED08F6408E20862572CD0080C89B?OpenDocument port 3580 is not in the list. "Automatically detect HTTP communication on other ports" is not present in the settings in this version.
We use Windows 7 firewall as well, could this be the cause of the issue?

there's only one way to know for sure :-). Also, any results from the other troubleshooting steps I suggested?
