Mac OS 64 bit support

When might we see the NI-488 driver support 64 bit apps on Mac OS? I'm having to route all ni-488 traffic through a 32 bit background app and connect to that from my 64 bit client apps. It adds a level of unreliability and user confusion that I'd love to eliminate.

Unforunately there is no official timeline currently available for the release of a 64 bit version of the 488.2 driver. Posting to the NI idea exchange (http://forums.ni.com/t5/NI-Idea-Exchange/ct-p/ideas ) is the best way to make a request for a software change to our R&D team.
