Maximum GPIB-ENET interfaces NI4882 driver can communicate with?

Hi,

The NI-488.2M Reference Manual states that the NI-488.2M driver supports up to four interface boards. Does this limit apply to the GPIB-ENET devices? If not, how many can be communicated with? My particular application needs access to eight GPIB-ENET/1000s.

Hi cwsnyder2001,

That depends a bit on your operating system. This KnowledgeBase article discusses how many ENET devices, and how many devices can be controlled by each ENET, for various operating systems and versions of the 488.2 driver.

From what I am seeing in that document, it looks like you should be able to control 8 ENET devices without any problems.
