Mikrotron MC 1363 and its control.

Hi all.

We have a Mikrotron MC1363 camera interacting with a NI PCIe 1429 board. The camera was provided with a 'controltool' in which frame rates, shutter times etc could be set. These parameters can then be fed into labview for further uses. However, recently the camera stopped appearing in its own controltool, but both MAX and labview vi's we've written can recognise the camera. The camera has a status light indicating all is well, and the PCIe card has up to date, fully functioning drivers. I have heard of instances of labview 'locking out' other cameras (pixelink to name one) from their native software packages. Has anyone had any experience of this, or suggest any solutions tests for the problem?

Thanks

Dan.

Hi Dan,

I am an Applications Engineer at National Instruments and have been looking into your query. From what you have described, the camera is detected in MAX and can also be programmed in labVIEW. It cannot be seen in its "controltool". Since this is a piece of software that is developed by the camera manufacturers and they would probably be the best people to provide you support on that. I can only give you generic suggestions such as updating your camera drivers perhaps, but I would recommend you get in touch with Mikrotron.

Hope this helps, have a nice day!
