Hi,
i worked with ni spy to trace an random error and the file become larger and larger. So in the end the trace is unclear and i would like to delete all entries that are not necessary. Is there any possibility with ni spy? What are the advantages of i/o trace?
thanks in advanced

Hi Philipp,
that's not possible to do, at least not within NI-Spy. To try it either programmatically (with LabVIEW) or manually, check the following:
"The latest version of Spy, 2.7, contains a LabVIEW API that allows you to start and stop captures. You may get it by installing VISA 4.6.
The VIs are under Measurement I/O >> NI Spy. The LabVIEW API is supported on versions 8.5 and above."
NI-Spy filter
Ni-SPY overrun with data, slowing down system
Best regards,
Jannis
