i have NI USB-6009. could i trigger the Vector network analyzer with it. Network analyzer posses a TTL input for triggering.
The issue is to give the Network analyzer a clock signal. When the Network anlyzer receives the TTL signal , it should makes ameasurement .
I want to do the task with matlab. I have the instrument control toolbox.
I am new in this field , and it is my first time to work with the usb-6009.
is it possible to achieve this with the USB-6009, or should i buy something else?
thank you for your help

You can generate a TTL compatible pulse with the USB-6009 that might work for the triggering. The Digital I/O is software timed and limited to a few hundred hertz or less. So any pulses will be milliseconds in duration or longer and the timing is not very accurate or precise.
I do not know what your requirements for trigger pulse and clock timing are, but most likely the USB-6009 is inadequate for your needs.

Thank you for your reply!
it is long. do you have an advice?

My advice is that you provide quantitative, numeric values for your requirements. Then someone may be able to suggest a suitable device.
