I am looking for NI-Visa 2.5 for Windows XP operating system and Labview 7.1; Can a higher version of NI-Visa work? All the download versions available at the NI site says product line GPIB. Does it mean that it would also work for RS232? I am using RS232 serial communication. Please let me know a solution to this. Thanks.
I have no idea how you did your search but NI-VISA is listed under the broad 'Instrument Connectivity' category since VISA is used with GPIB, RS-232, USB, Ethernet, PCI, PXI, etc.
