In NI-serial version 1.7 and higher it mentions its multiprocessor and hyperthreading safe. In version 1.5 this isn't mentioned.
What can i expect if i use version 1.5 on a dual cpu system running windows2000 where hyperthreading is enabled?
The problem we see at our system, partly answering the previous question, is as follows.
In our current system we use NI -serial 1.5 with a PXI-8420/8 card with
windows2000 and sometimes the application simply freezes and we have to
restart the pc,
in order to regain control.
Should we upgrade to a more recent version with multiple cpu support?
and which version should be used than?
Anyone has any suggestions for me?
