Omron E5ZN DeviceNet

I am trying to communicate to an OMRON E5ZN Temperature Controller.  I don't know if DeviceNet or ModBus would be the best method to communicate with the module.  Can someone give me a suggestion or link on the best method to communicate using LabVIEW vi's?

You may get better responses by posting this to our Industrial Communications forum. They typically see more activity for DeviceNet and Modbus related products.

In the meantime I would offer that any suggestion may be dependent on your current software and hardware. For example, DeviceNet may require additional hardware to interface into your controller. See this article for a basic overview of NI Industrial Communications.

I hope this helps but maybe someone in the other forum will have more direct experience with that particular controller.
