Does anyone communicate with devices by oxford instruments like e.g. the magnet puwer supply ILM 120-10? I have serious problems in communicating with this (and other devices by OI) via GPIB. I have tried their old (version 6 I think) VIs as well as more simple, self-build VIs. I tried different GPIB controllers and low level GPIB VIs as well as VISA.
The problem is allways the same: After some calls the whole GPIB bus freezes and labview has to be restarted in order to comunicate via GPIB again. Does anyone have similar problems? Or even better, does anyone successfully communicate with OI devices via GPIB?
My system: Windows 7 (32 bit), Labview 10 (32 bit), GPIB: 1x PCIe card 1x USB to GPIB-B
By the way: Communicating with other devices (Signal Revovery Lock-In, Agilent signal generator, ... ) works very reliable.
Thanks in advance,
Martin

Thanks, this is what a guy from NI told me to do. Unfortunately this does not help. I tried different parameters for the GPIB-interface (almost all combinations). Still, once in a while the communication hangs up.

Hi,
Have you tried capturing the history with NI-Spy.
Maybe this link will help
