PCI 8432 install error: different card recognized

Hi all,

I have been trying to install a PCI-8432/2 card in my computer after updating the driver versions to the newest (3.2). The problem is that the card is being recognized as a PCI-MI-DAQ type card. I am wondering if this is an error of the BIOS, Windows, or NI. I am using windows XP, and have tried uninstalling the driver and installing it by hand. However, when looking through possible drivers to install, PCI-8432 is not an option.

Any thoughts?

Hello Tom,
I want to try this one more time. Remove the card from the PCI slot, install NI-Serial Driver again (Make sure you uninstall before installing again.) One you have installed then shut down your computer and plug the card back in and boot your PC. One it boots up, follow the H/W installation wizard. I am sure this will eliminate this issue. Let me know how it goes.
