PCI-GPIB 183617K board not detected

I've tried to install an old (but supposed to be working) 183617K PCI-GPIB board on a PC with Windows XP 32bit.

I installed the new NI-488.2 version (3.1.2), then powered off the computer, inserted the board and restarted.

I don't see the new hardwared at all, not  in device manager (even after pressing "scan for hardware changes") and not in the NI Measurement & Automation Explorer under "Devices and Interfaces".

I'd appreciate if you can help me.

Thanks,

Adi

Does the card work in a different computer?

Thanks for your help. It worked in another computer and now it also works in mine, I guess it just wasn't inserted correctly in the first time.

Thanks!

Hi,

I've similar but little strange problem with my PCI-GPIB installation in a Windows XP PC, 32bit. I've installed Ni488.2 (Version 2.2 CD)

It is detected in Device manger but NOT in MAX. I uninstalled and installed latest Ni488221.exe but it showed an Yello exclamation mark in Device manager (Error code 39) but appeared in MAX but didn't (detect devices) communicate with instrument.

Can anyone please suggest how to resolve it?

Thanks in advance !

Venky
