PXI-8431/2 always times out during Write or Read

2.  I don't remember 100% but I believe the NI cards still did not function when the Z-tec cards were installed but disabled.

Would it be possible to repeat this test? If you could follow the steps below, it could help us understand whether we are dealing with a driver incompatibility or a hardware incompatibility between these devices.

1. Enable all devices and place them on the same interrupt to get into the "broken" state. Confirm that the serial board does not work.

2. Disable ALL Z-Tec devices, then test to determine whether this has allowed the serial board to work.

3. If this did not allow the serial board to work, disable the serial board, then re-enable the serial board, and test again.

4. If the serial board still does not work, reboot the computer and test the serial board again. The serial board should be enabled, and all Z-Tec boards disabled prior to the reboot.

If the serial board does not work at this point, then go ahead and stop and post your results. If at some point in the steps above the serial board worked, then go ahead and perform the following test. This is to help determine if the order in which the drivers load impacts whether the serial board works or not.

1. Disable your serial board and all Z-Tec devices.

2. Enable all Z-Tec devices, then the NI serial board.

3. Test to determine whether the serial board is working.

4. Repeat 1-3, but this time in step 2 enable the NI serial board before you enable the Z-Tec boards.

Thanks for your willingness to continue to look into this,

Jason S.

I'll see if I can get a station.  We only have 4 and access to them is becoming scarce especially to manipulate the HW setup.  If I can sneak on one of them for a while I will and I'll post the results back here.
