I installed the PC communication software from Tektronix and I had no problem to get the data from my TDS2012 oscilloscope thru my Pentium 4 computer with my PCI-GPIB card, the latest GPIB driver and also the latest NI-VISA program under Windows XP. But when I used the GPIB-PCII/IIA card (set to PCII mode, 7210 mode and with default setting) under Windows 98 thru my Pentium MMX 200Mhz computer, the ver1.7 GPIB driver, the same PC communication software and also the ver2.6 NI-VISA program, I had problem to get the data from my TDS2012 oscilloscope. I could only get the info of the name of the instrument, TDS2012 and that's all I could get. Please let me know how to set the GPIB card so that I can get the data, the waveform from the oscilloscope. I did tried the GPIB test problem. It passed. I did change the setting of the GPIB driver program but it did not help.
