Problem to get the data from my scope with my GPIB-PCII

I installed the PC communication software from Tektronix and I had no problem to get the data from my TDS2012 oscilloscope thru my Pentium 4 computer with my PCI-GPIB card, the latest GPIB driver and also the latest NI-VISA program under Windows XP. But when I used the GPIB-PCII/IIA card (set to PCII mode, 7210 mode and with default setting) under Windows 98 thru my Pentium MMX 200Mhz computer, the ver1.7 GPIB driver, the same PC communication software and also the ver2.6 NI-VISA program, I had problem to get the data from my TDS2012 oscilloscope. I could only get the info of the name of the instrument, TDS2012 and that's all I could get. Please let me know how to set the GPIB card so that I can get the data, the waveform from the oscilloscope. I did tried the GPIB test problem. It passed. I did change the setting of the GPIB driver program but it did not help.

Hi,

Here is a link to instrument drivers for this instrument. I found this by searching the Instrument Driver Network. This will give you VIs or CVI functions to program your instrument, if you do not have them already.

Are you receiving an error or time-out? Can you post what errors you see?

It's not under Labview or under Labwindow so the equipment driver does not work. It's under Tektronix "Open Chioce Desktop" program which is a PC communication program from Tektronix. The error message is " timeout the request euipment is occupied. Please check the power of your instruments. But it did show there's GPIB port was on.
