A vi was created under Win2000 with Labview 6i. It uses VISA routine for controlling a laser via RS232 (com1 port). It worked fine until the computer was upgraded in Win XP Pro. All remaining of Labview routines work fine except those using the VISA protocol.
I checked with the stand-alone VISA (NI-VISA 2.5) interface and found that the communication was possible. Only problems when VISA called from the vi.
There returned error message is
"source : VISA Open in Serial_R_W.vi
code : -1073807343"
Can someone help ?
Is it Labview problem, VISA problem, XP problem,...?
