Problems reading from Hameg 4040 via VISA RS232

That was my problem... forgot the last 0x0A...

now I only have to figure out the perfect timing, cause it looks like not all of my commands are working 🙂

Hi Jeff,

I actually am a NI employee. A rather new one, as you can see on the number of my posts.

You got me wrong with the hyperterminal. I meant he should try the commands and verify the answers, then program it into LabVIEW, after he is sure the commands work. 

I just looked up "Ni spy" (Now NI I/O trace). Thanks again, I didn't know it yet.

Wonderful-  Keep up the postings! nice thread for your first solution.  We will keep you honest VISA interactive control allows a bit more flexability than Hyperterminal (One of my favorite NI toys to play with)  Excuse me for dating myself on the NI Spy/ IO Trace name change.   I might still get caught out saying "Open MAX, that big blue icon on your desktop"  which may not allways stay blue....Keep up the good work.
