RQS doesn't work on Agilent N1911A

Hi,

I've got two Agilent devices

1. Agilent Technologies,N1911A,A1.02.01, and
2. Agilent Technologies,33220A,2.00-2.00-22-2.

When I execute the code below (attachement) I cannot get it working on N1911A (time out whilst waiting on RQS - step 6). However on 33220A works as expected.

How to test that the service request really does or doesn't work in N1911A wit the FW A1.02.01?

Any thoughs?

I have looked at your issue and wanted to ask you some further questions.

Have you downloaded the relevant instrument driver (s) from our 3rd party driver network? If not, I would recommend doing this for both of your devices. Links to the downloads are given below:

- Agilent Technologies N1911A

- Agilent Technologies 33220A

When you say it doesn't work, do you receive a specific error message? If so will you be able to post this up for me? Have you got the correct set of serial commands to be passed to the instrument?

Is there a reason you have decreased the default timeout from 25000 ms to 10000 ms on the Wait for RQS.vi?

How is your system set up? How is the instrument connected to your computer? Using GPIB or a serial cable?
