RS 232 splitter needed

Hi

I want to acces one device at the same time from two different applications. The first applciation will read and write 

but the second applciation which is labview is only required to read.   THe device comes 

has RS 232 DB9  connector . I have both  free RS 232 DB9 and DB 25 connections on my pc . Is there  

RS232 Serial DB9 Female to DB25 Male & DB9 Male Splitter Cable , that will satisfy my need.  Or does labview have solution for this ?

Do you want to read both channels or just the messages from one unit?

For one unit only, all you need is a third connector and two wires.

Now connect db25pin3 db9pin2 and both ports read the same(this is the RxD line) and

db9pin5 with db25pin7 for GND (if we assume that GND on both PC connectors are the same, this wire might be optional).
