RS-485 SELF TEST

Hello. I'm using PCI 8431/8 model for commucating with RS-485.

Before devolping applications, I tested its 2 wire auto mode, but it doesn't work.

I think there's no need to connect pin 1(ground) for 2 wire mode,

but as documented in http://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-4169 , I connected ports same.

And I used MAX and changed mode to "2 Wire Auto".

then, I used hyperterminal (ofcourse I set all properties same)

but there's no response in hyperterminal.

What's wrong with me?

A stupid question: Did you set both ports to '2-wire Auto'

Did you try the VI mentioned at your link ?
