Re-reconfiguring a GPIB-USB-HS in NI-VISA 4.3

Solved!
Go to solution

I have a GPIB-USB-HS that I am using to interface my Tektronics TDS2014 oscilloscope. I did something very stupid this afternoon and used the NI-VISA Wizard program to configure the GPIB-USB-HS as a raw USB. The GPIB-USB-HS still works, but I cannot get it to work with the oscilloscope. Instead of seeing something like "GPIB0 (GPIB-USB-HS)" in M&A, I see "USB0::0x3923:0x709B::011CF8C2::RAW"

Is there any way I can reverse this configuration?

For what it's worth, I have the latest version of NI-488.2 installed, and have the correct IVI for the oscilloscope installed.

Use a system restore point. Or, manually delete the driver you created.

Deleting the USB0::0x3923:0x709B::011CF8C2::RAW driver from Device Manager, replugging the GPIB-USB-HS, and allowing it be recognized by the computer did the trick.

Thanks, Dennis!
