Reading ECU data using LabVIEW

Hello Everyone,

  I am trying to read a text file and extract a part of string.For example, Say the part of string i am trying to search is in the 1st line, the  string in the 4th line needs to be fetched and I want to build an array output for this. Can anyone help on this?

Is there any way  of reading ECU data, fetching the ECU address through LabvIEW. Shd we use some scripting language to do so?
