ok, thank you all for the help so far.
I took the "Edge Triggered Acquisition" example and added the "Configure Sample Mode" and put it on Roll mode. When running the application i get the error message: "<ERR> Selected sample mode is not available. Possible causes are: incompatible model, sample rate or other horizontal system configuration."
the model should be compatible, right? so it must be caused by sample rate or other horizontal system configuration. Where can I see which settings are working and where can I adjust them?

Hi aelray,
Roll mode can be configured only when the scope is setup for long acquisitions. Go to Timebase > Horizontal after you get the error message. Is the "Roll" button greyed out?
You should call "Configure Timebase" before calling Configure Sample Mode (which I should have mentioned before!)
Best Regards,
Alan

hi,
the "Roll" button was greyed out. With a bigger timebase it gets ungreyed.
So my hopefully last question is, that with the timebase configuration I can set the time the measurement should take, right? And also I should adjust the "timeout" value accordingly, right?
thanks once again

Hi aelray,
Yes, Configure Timebase sets the scopes time per division and memory depth for the acquisition. I don't understand the problem you describe below, however. Can you email me your program, along with a screenshot?
Thanks,
Alan
