Running PCMCIA-GPIB card under DOS

I am trying to use the PCMCIA-GPIB card under DOS, but my laptop tells me I need "Socket Service" and "Card Service" PCMCIA software... does anyone know where I can get them? My laptop manufacturer was no help.

Hi,

I wanted to confirm you are using DOS, not DOS mode of Windows 3.1, 95, or 98.

Some laptops do not provide DOS drivers for their PCMCIA ports and thus you will not be able to use any PCMCIA cards under DOS. (Windows XP, 2000, 98, and 95 have PCMCIA drivers built into the operating system.)

Here is some information on Socket Services and Card Services for PCMCIA.

Socket Services/Card Services (SS/CS) Provided with DOS and Windows 3.x PCMCIA Hardware [broken link removed; article no longer available]

I hope this helps!
