Is it possible to have a SRQ handler that responds to a SRQ generated rather than having to check the SRQ status ever so often.

I have had a dig around the GPIB functions but I cannot find anything of any use.

ibnotify is an asyncronous wait callback. You can wait for an SRQ to be generated. If you are using device-side calls and automatic serial polling is enabled, you would ibnotify for RQS. If you are using board-level calls, 488.2-style calls, or have automatic serial polling disabled, you woud ibnotify for SRQI. From within the callback, you would perform an ibrsp to retrieve the status byte.
