Hi,
The instrument would need to be configured in MAX before using the driver.
As mentioned in this thread it may be a timing issue or the version of the GPIB driver.
What is the version of your GPIB driver?

Hi,
If you are able to use your HP 4192a through GPIB then it seems it would be a different issue.
You can also find the GPIB driver version by selecting My Computer > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager> National Instruments GPIB interface > PCI-GPIB > Properties > Driver > Driver Version
Were you able to configure the HP 4192 in MAX?

Hi,
As mentioned by Dennis the instrument needs to be detected by MAX before working with the code in LabVIEW.
If you have LV8.0 you can use the project-style driver, that one has the updated VISA open.
Also as mentioned by Dennis have you tried connecting only the Solartron 1260 to see if it is recognized by MAX?
