Hi Guys
Quick question, I have a potentiometer that will be vibration tested, the output of the potentiometer is to be set to 50% of its input voltage (10V). The output will be 5V, and go throught and instrumentation amplifier that will offest it by -5V to 0V. the output on the potentiometer has to be montiored that it does not exceed 142mV for 20ms or greater. The potentiometer is 2 gang so it has two outputs that need to be monitored.
I have a TDS2004B osciliscope to use to trigger if the it exceeds 142mV for 20ms greater. I have to check to see if the output either exceeds this in both positive and negative amounts. The osciliscope can only trigger with pulse on positive or negative not both! and also only for one channel!
How can i make the osciliscope trigger for both gangs of the potentiometer and also for negative and postivie pulses. The only way i can see of doing this is by having two seperates scopes per channel of the potentiometer. That totals up to four potentiometers which i reckon is well over the top

How long will the vibe test last?
I would probably use a DAQ to capture the data during the entire test run and then post process it. You could possibly flag the data in software during the vibe if you see your out of spec condition.
