The connection between DPO7000 series with PC

Dear All

I want to communicate my PC with DPO7014 Tektronix.

DPO7014 has not USB type B.

I want to know how many ways are possible to communicate them?

Another words, what am I doing?

Surely you have the manual for the scope. All of the remote control options (i.e. GPIB, Ethernet) will be explained in there. Tektronix also has there own web site at www.tek.com where you can get the manual.

Hi

I thank you for answering my question.

I want to ask you about what GPIB hardware I must provided for connection?

Providing NI GPIB-USB-HS that is availbe in "https://www.ni.com/en-us/shop/model/gpib-usb-hs.html" is enough?

Is "Tektronix TEK-USB-488 GPIB-to-USB Adapter" necessary?

Thanks

All that you need is the scope with a GPIB interface and a GPIB controller from someone (I prefer NI).

I thought the scope had an Ethernet connection that could be used instead of GPIB.

Hi

We have a local network on our labratory that is used for connectiong to internet.

I cooenct DPO7014 to our local connection with typical internet cables. then I set an IP to DPO7014.

After that I went behind my PC, and went "Start>Run", and typed “cmd”.

And act as shown in pic1, then I opened MAX.

I pressed on "Devices and Interfaces" button until "Create New" appeared.

I clicked on "Create New", then I clicked on "VISA TCP/IP Resource".

Among three different choices, I accepted one, "Auto-detect of LAN Instrument".

In next page, as shown in pic2, no thing was found.

Can you help me what is my wrong?

thanks

Hello

I think I have configured DPO7014 and MAX properly with ethernet as shown on pic1.

My question is that is any especial work must I do when I pressed "Open VISA Test Panel"? (pic2)

Thanks

In following above question ...

I want to control DPO7014 with "NI LabVIEW SignalExpress Tektronix Edition".

For that reason I have installed NI LabVIEW SignalExpress Tektronix Edition 2.1 and a little software (24 MByte) until NI LabVIEW SignalExpress Tektronix Edition can recognize DPO7014 in its "Add Stepd".

I opened NI LabVIEW SignalExpress Tektronix Edition and went to "Add Step" and choose appropriate choice (As shown above picture).

Then I went to "VISA Resource" section to enter VISA Resource name.

But when I pressed run button, an error occured that said you do not enter right VISA Resource name.

Can you help me?

thanks
