Hello,

There are a couple options if you are using GPIB. The first is Fiber Optic GPIB extenders. These allow you to extend distances between controllers and devices up to 1 m for the GPIB-140A and 2km for the GPIB-140A/2. You can find more information about these at:

http://sine.ni.com/apps/we/nioc.vp?cid=1275〈=US

Another option is to use GPIB-ENET/100 controllers. Using the GPIB-ENET/100, networked computers can communicate with and control IEEE 488 devices from anywhere on an Ethernet-based TCP/IP network. You can use a GPIB-ENET/100 to share a single GPIB system among many networked users, or to control several test systems from a single networked host computer. For more information about this option, please go to:

If you have additional questions please contact by going to www.ni.com/ask and selecting "Call an Engineer" or "Email an Engineer".
