USB-6356

I'm looking at the NI 6356 USB unit, but the PC will be located over 100 ft away. I would like to use a USB to Ethernet adapter. I also don't what to loose any speed. Will the adapter work, if so what type / models should I look for? Note: Due to noise issues, I've had problems using USB cables over 15ft long.

I'm not sure what all specs you are looking for in the DAQ, but you might want to look into the Compact DAQ.  NI has chassis that will connect via ethernet and then you can pick and choose the c-modules you need.

I think the NI 9223 x 2 in a 4 slot base will work.

Sort of an aside...If you are going to have empty slots, it might be a good idea to buy a few of the blank modules just to keep the chassis connectors protected.
