USB-6501 alternative to be used next to high voltage tests

I am currently using the USB-6501 to communicate with a PLC to run a series of test. One test in which we apply 3000V DC to our product seems to interfere with the USB-6501 causing it to freeze its outputs thus stopping the tests. The USB-6501 is used to tell labVIEW when to collect data and is not directly used for high voltage test and the USB-6501 is sitting roughly 6ft away from where the high voltage is applied to the product. Is there anything similar I can use that would be less susceptible to the high voltage interference or maybe a way to protect my current device. I have place ferrite cores on the USB cable that seems to have helped a little but not for all cases.

Thank you for your time

You can use high voltage opto-isolators to interface with 6501 and your high voltage side.
