Thanks so much for your advice! I suspected this and I'm now looking for a half-height PCI to GPIB card. Some of the ones I saw appeared to be suitable only for very old PCI slots?
Any suggestions for half-height PCI to GPIB cards since my computers can support only the small cards? Thanks!

There are also smaller PCI-GPIB models.
Please select at the time of purchase.
To make the bracket smaller, select the low-profile option.
However, in that case, the GPIB connector will also be a special small one, and you will need to connect it to the normal size connector via a conversion cable.
If you select low profile on the NI Web Shop, the only OS option available will be Windows, so please contact NI before purchasing to see if it can be used with Linux.
