Upgrading to LabWindows 7.0 for IVI driver development

We are currently using LabWindows 6.0 to develop IVI drivers and are considering upgrading to LabWindows 7.0. Is there anybody out there who has done this and is aware of any issues that one may encounter after the upgrade? I would like to know if
1) there are any real benefits in performing this upgrade and
2)the drivers developed using LabWindows 6.0 need to be upgraded to work along with the drivers developed using 7.0

Thanks.

There are probably a few reasons why it would be better to update to CVI 7.0:

- CVI 7.0 includes the latest version of IVI Template files that IVI Wizard uses. The template files are updated to comply with the latest version of IVI Foundation specifications. These templates can be used in CVI 6.0 but the attribute editor will not work for three new classes (Power Meter, Spectrum Analyzer, and RF Signal Generator)
- CVI 7.0 installs MAX 3.0 which is needed for IVI driver configuration (using the new IVI Configuration Store) if you are interested in interchangeability.
- CVI 7.0 recognizes the new Program Files/IVI directory and CVI 6.0 doesn't.

For the drivers developed using CVI 6.0 you need to make sure that they work with the latest IVI Compliance Pa
ckage and that might require some updates in the drivers.
