Using Keithley 2601 as Potentiostat

Hi all, I have labview 8.5 , SCB-68 and KEITHLEY 2601. Is it possible to use the Keithley as a potentiostat to do Electrochemical experiments.

I need to have a -1 V between a cathode and the reference electrode when I am applying potential between the anode and the cathode??

Any idea will be really appreciated.

Thanks

You need to specify voltage control and an appropriate current limit and the 2601 should be able to do that.

Hi,  similar  situation. we have a keithley  2635 with usb-gpib interface, and a PXI 1045 with 6259 and scc- 68. We also have a kusb- 3116.

we need a potentiostat for electrochemical measurements and cyclic voltammetry, potentiometry, etc..

You have not asked a question. You have not described any problem you are having so what is the point of this post?

The question is implied. How we build a potentiostat for electrochemical analysis with this equipment. I thought that UPV had taken a step forward and could help.

And you did not notice that the post is 4 years old?

try to define what a chemist means with potentiostat.

What accuracy do you expect in sweeping and measuring.

Keithley has an App note about using a 2420 as a potentiostat. Anything a 2400 can do you can do with a 2600.
