Using a PCI-GPIB-300k card from Measurement Computing with Labview 6i!?

I'm trying to setup LabView 6i to run with a PCI-GPIB-300K card from Measurement Computing. I've found a note from Measurement computing, which describes how to setup their GPIB card in MAX 2.0. When i'm trying to follow this (install a AT-GPIB/TNT card in MAX 2.0) the setup fails with the error "No base I/O address was availble". I've checked my settings under Win98 and my machine has severable free resources, including free IRQ's and base I/O addresses!

What may be wrong?
Will installing the Universial Libraries from Measurement Computing solve the problem?
(I have no problems communicating with the card and equipment, when using the software provided by Measurement computing - cbtest32 and c
bic32)

Lars

Lars,

I would suggest installing the Universal Libraries for LabVIEW from Measurement Computing as these contain the LabVIEW drivers for the board. Here is a link to the website that gives instructions for use: http://www.measurementcomputing.com/cbicatalog/cbiproduct.asp?dept%5Fid=259&pf%5Fid=1360&mscssid=KALM2L1L7LXF9KG18VUC6ELUSJ7X86XC
The board does not necessarily need to be set up in MAX to work in LabVIEW.

Hmm, I've bought the Universal Library and it does not seem like this supports using any GPIB card with LabView 6i.
How should I install the PCI-GPIB-300k card with these Universal Libraries???
(no help from the computerboards website!)

Hi Lars,

No wonder it doesn't work with Universal Library for the simple reason the NI fellow advice is not accurate. Measurement Computing Corp. GPIB line does not work with Universal Library. If you already have GPIB-32 Library installed (and looks like you do), you might want to forget about MAX utility too, and simply using C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 6\examples\instr\smplgpib.llb and selecting LabView<->GPIB.vi you can test the board with LabView.
