Using switch executive on PXI-1042

Hello all,

I have a pickering 40-140-221 card (a reed relay card) on a PXI-1042 chassis with PXI-8101 running LabView RT. Before this, I had a PXI-1033 chassis, and I was able to use switch executive to control that card in TestStand. Now, I can't set up the card in switch executive to do the same thing anymore.

When it go to MAX>>Devices and Interfaces>>NI Switch Executive Virtual Devices>>MyRelayMatrix>>Add IVI Switch, I get error (Hex 0xBFFA4001) Unknown status code. I have looked it up, and it is because "Driver tries to access card that is not opened or is not there at all."

This is how I have setup the driver session:

I don't think I should be using the visa address as the resource descriptor, but I don't know how else I can access the card.

Hello There,

The issue seems to be correlated to an invalid resource descriptor.  For NI Switch Executive, the resource descriptor is in the IVI Driver Session on the Hardware tab. Double-click on the Resource Descriptor to change it.  Please refer to the KnowledgeBase below.  I hope this helps.
