VISA fails to install on OS X 10.6

VISA fails to install on OS X 10.6 (used Fall 2009 release and download below recommended by NI support.

If you are using Mac OS X 10.4.8 or later, PPC and x86 or Mac OS X 10.5.x

Are you saying after you have downloaded you are not able to install?

Yes, the downloaded drivers and the drivers which came with the Fall 2009 distribution fail to install. The answer I got from NI support last night said the reason it wiil not install is the new MACbook PRO does no longer uses the power PC (it uses an Intell processor) and "the MAC is  not an engineering computer". I'm not sure what an "engineering computer is".

I see the new GPIB/USB-HS has drivers for the OS X Intelr operating system. I wounder if these drivers will work with the GPIB/USB-B interface.
