Visa TCP/IP Instrument not detected with external lan adapter in MAX

Hello,

When I setup a new VISA TCP/IP resource in MAX using my internal LAN adapter I can validate and communicate with the instrument.

But, when I try and use an external USB to LAN adapter I can't validate or communicate with the device. Is it possible to switch the communication from

my internal adapter to the USB one?

Which IP-adresses and netmasks do you use for your internal adapter, the external adapter and your instrument ? Are you able to ping your instrument ?
