I am using a uPD7210 device hardwired to four transceivers MC3448AP. I want to configure it as a GPIB CIC.
The Hardware Connections are as follows:
1.The T/R1 signal hardwired to the Send/Receive signals of D0-D7 and DAV ;T/R1 is inverted and hardwired to the Send/Receive signals of NRFD and NDAC.
2. The T/R2 signal hardwired to the Send/Receive signals of REN, IFC, ATN, SRQ.
3.The T/R3 signal hardwired to EOI signal.
The TRM1-0 mode selected by me in software is TRM1=1 and TRM0=0; which implies the CIC signal controls T/R2 and EOIOE signal controls T/R3.
When I issue the reset IFC command the CIC line and the ATN line go low but when I read the ADSR register the CIC bit does not show a 1. I am not sure if my device is configured as a CIC.
Also, when I read the ISR2 register the CO bit is set.
Is there anything wrong with my hardware configuration or my software??? I know that uPD7210 is not manufactured by NI, NAT 7210 is a drop-in replacement for uPD7210 and hence I have posted this query.Hope it is not an issue here!!!!.
Also, can anyone suggest me the exact procedure for a command transfer between uPD7210 and another talker/listener device. I have a TNT4882 AT-GPIB/TNT evaluation board which is not plug and play.It can only function as a talker/listener. How do I read the registers of TNT4882 device??
