What type of frame grabber or related software can I get that will allow my computer to externally trigger my camera controller?

I have a Princeton Instruments TE/CCD detector (camera) that is being controlled by a ST-138 controller (also made by PI). I'm looking for a new frame grabber or software that will allow me to externally trigger my camera. We are currently having trouble getting everything to work using Scanalytics IPLab. Timing is critical in this experiment.

John,

Do you know if your camera will output standard video (like NTSC, rs-170, pal or ccir)? National Instruments offers a wide number of frame grabbers that will perform image acquisition on standard video. The 1409 is a 4 channel monochrome board with stillcolor, 1407 - single channel monochrome or 1411 - single channel color.

We also have some digital framegrabbers that will work with a list of supported cameras. More information can be found at www.ni.com/camera

Hope this helps.
