When I run an application built from a working vi, it gets an error at the VISA port initialize block. Visa runtime is installed on the deployment machine.

I can see that NI reps provide great support through these boards, and I haven't found a solution through searching.

My question is, how can I fix this? I have VISA 4.4.1 istalled on the laptop I intend to run it on. The hardware is connected through a USB hub and three usb to serial adapters. The drivers for the adapters are installed. I am attempting to run three acquisition devices.

Again, the vi works in the development engine but fails at the first VISA block in the application.

Thanks

Are you sure that the same port is available on the deployment machine?

The ports are not the same, but are selected in the front panel of the application prior to run. I made sure to specify them correctly.

I suppose installing VISA 5 is worth a try. My problem appears to be with VISA, as I have not had any success communicating with devices in a run time application.
