I am trying to rebuild an HP 3048A Phase Noise Measurement System, which consists of HP3561A Dynamic Signal Analyser and HP11848A Test Interface.
Both instruments connect to the PC, which runs HP DOS test application, via GPIB cables. The installation manual states that one of two GPIB cards supported by the software is the NI PC-II/IIA.
I have a NI GPIB card that following markings:
ASSY 180100-02 Rev G
GPIB-PC
Do I understand correctly that the card I currently have IS NOT GPIB PC-II/IIA, and that I need a different card. I have contacted Agilent, and found an Engineer who worked with this system and is willing to help me, but the first item to resolve is to have a PC running DOS (which I have) with NI GPIB card with libraries/drivers released BEFORE 1997.
Would greatly appreciate ANY help/links from anyone having any information.
